In most institutional applications Breeam awards 3 credits where the use of water per person is < 1.5m³ annum.

To mitigate the flooding effect of storms, additional capacity can be built into the holding tank. As a guide 60 litres extra capacity should, where demand normally exceeds supply, cope with a 100 year 6 hour storm event over one meter of roof area.
