Elephant Park Water Recycling – MBR Advanced technology

Aquaco delivered and installed a fully packaged MBR greywater recycling system for the construction phase of the large Elephant Park development, in April 2016.

The bespoke MBR system was designed as a fully turnkey, plug and play GRP enclosure, packaged and installed by Aquaco. The client is planning to move the system to another site, once the project is complete.

The system will meet WC flushing demand for all workers on-site during construction, which is due to last for at least 5 years.

MBR System – Elephant Park – Water Recycling

The Aquaco Membrane Bioreactor Grey Water Recycling System

The Aquaco MBR system is a significant leap forward in design development over traditional greywater MBR systems. The system is manufactured here in the UK, at our headquarters in East Peckham, and has been developed on the back of a decade of using the traditional MBR systems imported from Germany.

All Aquaco grey water systems are 100% compatible for integration with our Smart Attenuation, and Rainwater Top-up Systems, offering a complete building solution for water recycling, be it for BREEAM or LEED accreditation, Flood Risk Assessment compliance, or purely for water-saving and economic reasons.

About Elephant Park – Water Recycling

Lendlease has been working in partnership with Southwark Council to deliver a £2.3 billion regeneration project in Elephant & Castle since 2010. The area has been an important part of London since Roman times, whether as a transport junction, a hub for entertainment and shopping or a place to call home. The project will breathe new life into this special part of Central London, building on Elephant & Castle’s heritage and creating thousands of high-quality new homes, jobs, business opportunities and green space for Londoners.

The regeneration is split across three sites: Elephant Park, Trafalgar Place and One The Elephant. We have already completed the first phase of Elephant Park – South Gardens – as well as two earlier phases, Trafalgar Place and One The Elephant. You can find out more about each of these completed schemes below. That leaves a further four phases to be completed across Elephant Park, with a final completion date of 2025.
